At every Business After 5, one Chamber member with a physical location co-hosts alongside a guest host who may not have a brick-and-mortar presence. Together, they create an evening of connection and collaboration.

• Attendees network, share resources, and build meaningful relationships over light refreshments.

• The main host offers a 30-minute presentation—some give guided tours of their space, others share their entrepreneurial story and offer valuable tips learned along the way.

• The guest host has 20 minutes to showcase their services, highlight their expertise, or share how they’re making an impact in the community.

Together, these presentations offer attendees more than just introductions—they provide real-world insights, practical strategies, and inspiring takeaways that you can apply to your own business or personal development. Whether it’s marketing advice, leadership lessons, or new tools of the trade, each event is an opportunity to learn something meaningful from fellow professionals who’ve walked the walk.

This month’s Business After 5 brought together a dynamic crowd at the inviting home of Safe Bridge Temple Financial, where host Nicole Breadner welcomed fellow Chamber members for an evening of meaningful conversation and professional connection.

With special guests Jen Robertson and Kathleen Hayes of Hayes & Co. Law, attendees got a unique insider’s look at the real-world intersections of real estate, mortgage planning, and law. The evening featured casual roundtable introductions, where each guest shared a bit about what they’ve been working on, creating space for natural connections and new ideas.

This hands-on Business After 5 was packed with energy and expertise! Zakary Keys of Watertite Roofing welcomed attendees into his world of roofing, sharing his journey into the industry and offering a live demonstration of his flat roof technique—complete with an opportunity for attendees to try it themselves! His approachable style and practical insights made roofing relatable, even for those outside the trade.

Dave Degrave of Hartzel Marine brought a refreshing perspective as he shared his personal evolution from auto mechanic to boat mechanic and proud business owner. Dave spoke about his future plans in Dunnville and the importance of belonging to a Chamber—drawing from his experience with other Chambers to highlight how those connections have positively impacted his business growth.

At this unforgettable Business After 5, attendees were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Tatra Boots, where we learned how these high-quality, Canadian-made boots are crafted with care and precision. The owner shared his personal journey of how he came to lead Tatra Boots, the values that drive the company, and why keeping production in Canada matters to him and his customers.

Then, Jeff Rooney of Break Point Communication took the floor, delivering powerful marketing insights drawn from years in the industry. He shared real-world tips, relatable stories, and strategies that attendees could take back and apply to their own businesses.

This event was the perfect mix of inspiration and practical knowledge—a true reminder of the talent and expertise right here in our Chamber network.
